CapitalMark is thrilled to have veteran Phil Barnes lead its Wealth & Trust services department as it approaches $100 million in total assets. Phil appreciates that CapitalMark’s model is oriented toward clients seeking a private-bank experience, and feels the Trust group is a perfect complement. Clients who require comprehensive advice regarding planning, estate or trust services will be well-served by a seasoned team collectively holding over 180 years’ industry experience. Phil is a 33-year banking veteran, most recently spending 20 years with a regional bank and its predecessors. He has served in a variety of roles spanning management, administration and sales in both Trust and Private Banking. Phil received a Bachelor of Arts from Covenant College and successfully completed the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware and BAI’s Graduate School of Retail Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Additionally he has attended the International School of Lending at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and corporate finance courses in Mergers and Acquisitions at Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Management. Phil has held licenses Series 7 and 66.
