After 40 some years in both private practice and banking, specializing in tax and estate planning and administration, Al knows his way around trust services. He’s also the author of “Tennessee Probate,” a book that guides lawyers and legal assistants through the complex administration of a decedent’s estate and coauthor of "Tennessee Elder Law", a book that assists lawyers with all aspects of aiding clients in preparation for growing older.
In addition, he’s an honored fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and Chairman of the Tennessee Probate Study Group that’s working with the Tennessee Bar Association. The group reviews, proposes and implements revisions to Tennessee law for tax and estate planning and administration. Al is also a frequent speaker on the subject of estate planning in continuing education programs and seminars.
Al's extensive education consists of a Bachelor in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from Emory University, an Emory Law Degree and a Masters of Law in Taxation from NYU.
