Matt D. Bentley
Mr. Bentley is the General Manager for Bendabout Properties, a privately owned property of 4,200 acres in southwest Cleveland, Tennessee. As a conservation expert and natural resource manager, Mr. Bentley's professional career has been dedicated to effectively managing and preserving natural resources in a world that is constantly pressing urban development. Working to create compromises with urban development in thriving economies while preserving, protecting and managing natural resources., Mr. Bentley has memberships and working relationships between many regional and national wildlife and conservation agencies such as the Tennessee, Georgia and Florida Nature Conservancies (TNC), the Tennessee Land Trust, Florida Fresh Water Game & Fish, Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA), Bradley County Road Department (BCRD), Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), Tennessee Department of Environmental Conservation (TDEC), Tennessee Valley Association, Streams & Fisheries Department (TVA), and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS).
In addition to finding preservation solutions for our region's natural resources, Mr. Bentley has served as President of the Cleveland State Community College Foundation board. He is the current President of the Bradley/Cleveland Public Education Foundation and an active Board Member of the Bradley County Land Conservancy Board and the Bradley County Storm Water Advisory Board.
Catherine Boettner is a Strategic Planner and Consultant with Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC. She is the former Owner, President and General Manager of Cleveland Tubing. Inc., a manufacturer of extruded plastic products. During her 18-year tenure at Cleveland Tubing, Mrs. Boettner handled strategic planning and execution, financial performance review, new product development, marketing, contract review, property and casualty insurance review, product liability litigation, benefit administration and all corporate negotiations including the eventual sale of the company. Mrs. Boettner successfully grew the company from $3 million in sales to over $13 million in sales during her time at the company. She has been distinguished locally and regionally for her leadership, career and various talents with awards such as Mel Bedwell Small Businessperson of the Year, “40 under 40” in Business TN, Southern Living Annual Recipe Contest Grand Prize Winner, and third place winner for Better Homes and Gardening Decorating Contest in the category of Special Places.
Mrs. Boettner graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management and French from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. Additional education includes Financial Management for Non-Financial Managers from Vanderbilt University as well as Mergers & Acquisitions from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School. Outside of her career, Mrs. Boettner has been an active community member and Board Member of the Cleveland Bradley Chamber of Commerce, Cleveland Associated Industries, Cleveland State Community College Foundation, Centre College Alumni, Bradley Initiative Credit Union, Habitat for Humanity and the Boys and Girls Club.
Brian Collins is the Owner & President of Collins Oil Co. Inc. of Cleveland, which operates a number of outlets in East Tennessee. Mr. Collins has been in the oil industry since 1979 starting as a truck driver with the family business and working his way to his current position. Mr. Collins is the former Senior Vice President and President of the advocacy group Tennessee Fuel & Convenience Store Association, a non-profit association for small businesses that participate in the fuel trade from wholesalers and distributers to local convenience stores. As President, Mr. Collins led several environmental campaigns and public safety campaigns targeting petroleum clean up and proper disposal of used oil and tires.
Mr. Collins has been on the Board of Directors for the Cleveland Bradley Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland, and Broad Street United Methodist Church. A graduate of Bradley High School, Mr. Collins attended Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga before entering the oil and energy industry.
Garry Rodgers has extensive experience in radio and television broadcast. Using his Communications degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, he spent six years with Vol Network. Additionally, he has held various Sports Anchor roles at Knoxville’s Top NBC Affiliate, WBIR - TV Channel 10, and Nashville’s Fox Affiliate – TV Channel 17. Mr. Rodgers even hosted ‘TNN Country News”, a popular Prime Time Network Television show in Nashville. In 1997, Mr. Rodgers returned to Cleveland, Tennessee, to run his family’s business, Joe Rodgers & Associates, which has evolved into the Rodgers Group. The Rodgers Group develops, brokers and manages industrial, office and retail properties throughout the Cleveland area. Currently, Rodgers Group manages forty tenants, several of which are Fortune 500 Companies. Mr. Rodgers is also Co-Founder and Managing Partner of a private real estate investment fund, Chestnut Development Partners, L.P., which is based in Chattanooga. The Fund co-invests with developer partners in retail, office, medical office and hospitality properties throughout the U.S.
Outside of his career life, Mr. Rodgers has served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce and the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland. He is the former President of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland as well as the Southeast Tennessee’s CCIM Chapter, a commercial real estate investment & brokerage group. Mr. Rodgers is an Elder at Rock Point Community Church in Chattanooga and a Strategic Partner with North Point Ministries in Alpharetta, GA. Additionally, Mr. Rodgers can be found single-purpose fund raising and mentoring.
